A better me.

I’ve said it many times before. Running is my “me” time. It clears my head, enables me to have some breathing room, some thinking room. It’s really the one time throughout the day when it’s just me being me. I don’t always love running but I do always enjoy the break it gives me and the joy it brings which in turn enables me to be a better ME.

Are you a runner? Do you find this is your “me” time also?
Maybe you aren’t a runner, what do you do to get the “me” time in?

I'm a wife to 1 amazing husband. A mom to 1 little dude and 2 girlie girls. A follower of the ONE who saved me. A daughter to 2 wonderful people. A sister to 1. A friend to many. A runner because that's what I do to keep from not going crazy. And the CEO of this little part of the world we call home.

  1. Yes, I am a runner – however one that doesn’t have time to run in this season of life. I don’t like running alone in the dark, but love running alone. I haven’t been able to get out and run but once int he past month, but that one time was FABULOUS! I love the way I can choose how to spend that time (listening to music, a podcast or just prayer). I love that I can do that without any interruptions (cleaning to-dos, “momma i need you” calls….) I completely know what you mean!

  2. Sarah, thanks for stopping by! I know what you mean by seasons of frequent running and then…not so much. It comes and goes. But I do try and get out there whenever I can. I have pretty much have gotten over my fear of running in the dark and be as safe as possible but still not my first choice. I just started listening to podcasts while I run sometimes (but not in the dark) which ones do you like?

  3. You hit close to my heart Aubrey… I normally run 4-5 times a week. Almost always in the morning to start my day! It’s when God and I have some of our best talks… which means I’m alone, and usually can listen and hear from Him. 😉 ~ Love, Amy
