I’m learning about myself this summer which is something I prayed for coming into our time away from home. I know that summer project is designed with the students in mind but it can also be a place where God can do a work in my heart as well. So I am thankful that God is teaching me how he made me and wired me. I am thankful that he is growing me in confidence as a woman in Christ, a wife and a mom. I always want to be in process in these areas, never wanting to settle and feel like I have arrived. Because I know that will never be true. What I am learning this summer is that I like to learn! Ha ha ha. I know real profound but it’s true. I like to learn from others that are different than me, those that have already been where I am and those that are skilled in something that I want to know more about. I love to ask lots of questions to moms who have been doing it longer than me. Whether it be what kind of snacks do you give your kids to what do you think about homeschooling, I want to know. I don’t feel the pressure to conform to what others are doing but I like to have a plethora of ideas and knowledge so I can form my own decisions. Now that I have been in ministry for a while, been a wife for almost 8 years and a mom for almost 4 I feel I have some things to share as well and I love to do that!
We all have a wealth of knowledge and passions that is often not shared with others. We are missing out in growing ourselves and growing with each other when we don’t jump in and soak it all up!
