what’s cooking?

What’s cooking?

Well….this weekend I tried two new recipes from Pinterest. Both were pretty awesome if I do say so myself. So I thought I better share!

Friday I tried a new stromboli recipe. I have one that I have used forever but I was getting tired of it. Time for a change. Pinterest to the rescue! I made this one and I don’t think I will ever go back people! I had 2 friends over for dinner and they confirmed my thoughts, “yes this is pretty awesome!” Within the post the writer also linked to her “no fail pizza dough” which I followed and she was right, it was not a failure. And for those of you with Kitchen Aid mixers I used my dough hook for the first time and it worked like a charm. I felt like a professional baker. Trust me, you gotta whip that bad boy out and make some dough! The results most excellent. So here it is friends…

This morning I made some pumpkin waffles before church. We had an extra hour because of the time change  and when you have young kids that means nothing. Oh, I can’t wait till that day comes when it does mean something. Sigh. So pumpkin waffles it was. Mason chose this recipe based on the picture. He thought it looked yummy. And his instincts were right, not bad. Smart boy, that one!

So there are two recipes that you have to try. It’s Fall and I’m all about comfort food. What are you making these days for your Fall food cravings?
