Multiplying Ministry–Meet My Mentor

This is John Mumford, my new mentor for the next two years. He has volunteered his time and expertise to mentor me so that I might multiply my time and energy.

Here’s a little bit about John:

“In May 1972 Mr. Mumford was selected as one of seventeen White House Fellows by the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships. Appointed a Special Assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Labor, Mr. Mumford served on two White House Task Forces – Worker’s Compensation and Trade Adjustment Assistance for the 1974 U.S. International Trade Bill.
After one year managing the turnaround of a private company and several real estate projects, Mr. Mumford returned to Federal Government service as a Consultant and later Special Assistant to the Secretary of Labor and later as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Employment Standards – a position that he held for two Presidents and two Secretaries of Labor.”

His mission: “Change the World for Christ.” He and I spent the last two days meeting together and discussing how my gifts and passions toward social media might be multiplied towards global evangelistic efforts of Campus Crusade.

Here are students and staff from Kenya–these leaders are seeking to learn how to use their mobile phones for evangelism and discipleship. Because of your investment in my leadership develop, I will be able to increase my expertise and leadership skill to align, motivate, and train global leaders like these to affect students in Kenya for Christ.

Thank you for your investment that allows me a tremendous opportunity to grow as a leader and change the world for Christ!
