My weekend find at the punkin patch…
now what to do…

1. This week I finally started being more intentional about doing school with Mason. I ordered curriculum with a friends wise input and we went to work. Well not work, we actually had a lot of fun and enjoyed learning together. The curriculum I’ve decided on is :
I’m still figuring out the best time of day to do school. I’ve tried both morning and afternoon. Neither were perfect but we are definitely not shooting for perfection, just to do it in any sort of fashion is my goal! My biggest obstacle is figuring out how to do school with the girls because the moment they hear we are doing school they are all about it and want to do everything we are doing. Cute but not the most productive. So we are all learning what “school time” will be like.

2. We have a new favorite pizza place. Brian has been spending time in Wooster and many have told him he has to go to Coccia Pizza House. We went with some new friends and LOVED it! Loved the crust and the chunky sauce, lots of flavor! Now I don’t think anything can pass up Kraus’ (my local favorite) double crust but this is definitely a close second!

3. Ok so you are probably sick of hearing about how much I love Fall but…one more time.
Cool, sunny days, yummy seasonal food that makes you feel all cozy, you get to bring out your comfy sweats again…and the list goes on and on. But the thing I love the most are the vibrant colors every where you look! The colors make me smile and thankful that this is the way God chose to do Fall! I took this pic last week. I saw the tree as we were driving and pulled over to snap a quick picture because it was that beautiful! Told ya I love Fall!

4. Please tell me I am not the only one who doesn’t wash their hair every day? You know sometimes it’s a quick shower and there is no time to wash and dry the hair so there are days it’s just not lookin’ so good but you still want to look cute. Right? I’m not standing alone here, am I? Well another alternative I have beside the old messy bun (which happens even when I do wash my hair) or a hat is this cute thing. I say thing because I don’t know the name and I don’t know what to call it. To me it’s more of a Fallish/Winter accessory but I suppose you can wear it anytime. Here I am modeling mine:) Got it at a little boutique in Chico but I’ve also seen them on Etsy.

5.Last week I told you how I was interested in reading Feminine Appeal by Carolyn Mahaney. Well a friend recently posted on facebook she was listening to a talk on Titus 2 by Carolyn Mahaney. I asked for the link and quickly checked in out. Come to find out there are 8 talks available for free to download that is basically the Feminine Appeal book. Listening to a talk is more my style because I can do mindless chores around the house, go for a run or even catch up on email (this one may not be the best) all the while listening to a talk that is encouraging me in my role as a wife and mom. I still think I would like the book at some point but in the mean time I have my listening ears on! Here is the link if you are interested:

Nine years ago today my life literally took a major change of direction…in more ways than one. I headed west to live my brand new husband. We had an amazing ceremony that was sweet and meaningful and everything I imagined and more. We had a reception that was the best party I’ve ever been to, still to this day. When do you get to spend the evening with all of your favorite people and get to be the one wearing the beautiful white dress?!? And then we hugged our family and friends and we left. We went on a short and sweet honeymoon and my new life as a wife in California started. In some ways it seems like just yesterday. But then I look around and at us and I see some time has passed. We’ve done a lot (ahem…3 children wildly running around as I type) and most of all we’ve changed a lot. And I’m thankful to say we’ve changed for the better.
if 9 years can bring this much…wow! i can’t wait to see what is to come. to say i am thankful for my husband and the 9 years we have had together just doesn’t do it justice but that is it. i am so thankful.
happy anniversary bri!
This is Theia today at the park. It’s such a sweet pic of our little big girl trying the monkey bars with mommy’s help. This simple picture brought a lot of emotion to my heart and mind.
I love the look of anticipation and joy in her face in what is to come. Also the feeling of trust and confidence she has knowing I will not drop her.
I will not let her go.
I am here.
What I see here in Theia’s face is what I am feeling right now and what God is reminding me.
I have joy for what is to come.
I am anticipating great things. Great in the sense that He will provide for my every need as He sees fit.
I am trusting in Him and confident in Him.
My security is in Him alone
because
He is here for me and will not let me go.
oh how He loves me. oh how He loves us.
1. We had such a fun day celebrating the girls 3rd birthday. It was a day packed full of fun things: special trip to the bakery in the morning with Grandma & Pa, lunch date with Mommy and Mase at Chick-fil-a and a fun princess party with family. All day the girls kept reminding us they were big girls, they were three! I loved seeing each of their smiles when we sang Happy Birthday to them, first to Kaia then to Theia.

2. Did you notice the t-shirts the Chilean miners were wearing by chance? Those t-shirts were given to the miners from the Jesus Film Project, a ministry of Campus Crusade International that has translated the gospel into over 1000 languages. The Jesus film and the New Testament in Spanish were actually sent down into the mine shaft for the miners! Read the whole story here.
3. My friend sent me a link to this super cute girls room. She knows me all too well…i love it! The ideas are piling up for the girls future room. Can’t wait! I love the color of the room and the pallet beds of course. Check it out!

4. I think the next book I’m going to read is Feminine Appeal by Carolyn Mahaney. I’ve heard great things about it. What are you reading right now?

5. Grandpa and Pa got the girls these awesome bristle blocks by Just B. toys. I really like all the toys by this company. They come in fun colors, reasonably priced and made durably. Oh, and best part you can find them at my favorite store Target! The Spinarooz blocks were a hit with all the kids at the party. Even topped the Disney Princess Castle…for awhile.

For this Thankful Thursday I have much to be thankful for…our girls!
Today our girls are 3! They are big girls now and they let us know every day. Our lives and family has changed for the better because of these precious girls. Their smiles light up a room, their laughter brings joy to everyone around them and their kind hearts just melt us! The bond they have with one another is one of the best things we get to witness each day. What a privilege it is to have them as our daughters!
